All 2023 Dota 2 Major locations revealed, South America to host its first Major

The road map to The International 2023 is finally here. Valve has announced the three Dota 2 Major locations for the DPC 2023 season.

The news was shared on the official Dota 2 website, alongside information on the start of the new season, which kicked off today in China. The remaining five regional leagues for Western Europe, Eastern Europe, North America, South America, and Southeast Asia will follow suit on January 8.

The race to qualify for TI12 is finally underway as teams compete for crucial DPC points, and the top-performing squads in Division I will battle for the coveted slots at the three Major tournaments this year.

The season begins with the Winter Tour, taking place from January 6 to February 3. Division I teams in each region will look to qualify for the Lima Major in Peru – the first Major of the Dota 2 season and the first-ever major to take place in South America.

The bottom two teams from Division I — in all regions — will be relegated to Division II, and the top two teams from Division II will advance to Division I in the Spring Tour, the second regional league of the DPC 2023 season.

Following the same tournament format and structure as the previous tour, the top-ranked teams from the Spring Tour will secure a spot for the Berlin Major, the second Major of the year, and the fourth Dota 2 Major to be hosted in Germany.

The Summer Tour will be the third regional league, and the teams that excel in this tour will advance to the Bali Major in Indonesia.

Valve has also announced the companies hosting each Dota 2 Major, with 4D Esports handling the Lima Major, ESL organizing the Berlin Major, and IO Esports managing the Bali Major.

Esports fanatics can show their support for their favorite DPC teams in the Winter Tour, with Valve offering new Supporter Club bundles and Fantasy team card packs that are now available in Dota 2.
